IDEALIST is a creative impact platform dedicated to inspiring and igniting change by using cinema as a tool for civic engagement, youth empowerment, and social impact. Founded by filmmakers, educators, and advocates, we work alongside young changemakers to elevate their perspectives and ensure their voices meaningfully inform the communities, systems, and cultural conversations that shape their lives.
Our work centers on listening, learning, and collaboration. Through thoughtfully designed programs, resources, and partnerships, The IDEALIST Project supports youth in developing creative, civic, and critical thinking skills—equipping them to engage with social issues, participate in public dialogue, and contribute to positive change through storytelling and creative action.
By leveraging film as a medium for connection and inquiry, we create spaces where youth participation is valued, dialogue is encouraged, and community-centered solutions can emerge.
